Privacy Policy

BracketMesh provides tournament-management software for standalone events and independent organizations. This policy covers information handled by the platform. Event organizers manage their own event operations and participant communications. The Midwest Battle Series text-alert program described below is organizer-specific.

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide when registering for a tournament or text alerts, including your name, mobile number, email address, team information, DUPR identifier, registration details and tournament results. We may also collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the website.

How we use information

We use information to administer events, confirm registrations, operate pools and brackets, communicate court assignments and schedule changes, maintain results, provide participant support and improve tournament operations.

BracketMesh accounts and optional DUPR connections

BracketMesh uses your email and account identity to authenticate you. If you explicitly connect DUPR, we verify your DUPR identity and retrieve available names, identifiers and ratings through DUPR. Connection credentials are encrypted on the server. Event directors can see connection status and ratings for the DUPR identifiers listed on their event roster. Your sign-in email and connection credentials are not shared with directors through this feature. You may disconnect DUPR on the connection page, which clears stored connection credentials. Disconnecting does not remove published event results or roster information. Connection consent does not authorize automatic match submission to DUPR.

SMS and mobile information

If you actively opt in, Midwest Battle Series may send tournament-related text messages such as registration confirmations, check-in reminders, court assignments, match alerts, schedule changes and venue notices. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties except service providers that help deliver the messaging service, and only as necessary to provide that service.

Sharing and service providers

We may use service providers to host the website, store tournament data, process authorized payments or deliver messages. They may use information only to perform services for BracketMesh or the relevant event organizer. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect participants or to prevent fraud and abuse.

Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to administer events, preserve results, document messaging consent and meet legal or operational obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may decline optional SMS consent. You may opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP. You may request correction or deletion of information by contacting BracketMesh through the contact information provided on this website, subject to records we must retain for legal, security or event-integrity purposes.

Children

This service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization.

Changes

We may update this policy as our services change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
